Cincinnati protesters asking for retrial in Ray Tensing mistrial

CINCINNATI (KRQE) – People in Cincinatti are asking for a retrial after the case against Ray Tensing, the officer accused of killing an unarmed black driver, ended in a mistrial.

Saturday, hundreds of people took to the streets in protest.

The former University of Cincinnati officer was accused of killing Sam DuBose during a traffic stop last year.

Prosecutors said jurors couldn’t agree whether to convict Tensing of murder of voluntary manslaughter. The lead prosecutor said he will decide by Nov. 28 whether to retry the case. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
