Suspected thief arrested after napping in stolen truck

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)– Albuquerque Police say a thief’s need for a nap is what got him caught.

According to a criminal complaint police were called out to a South Valley intersection near Gibson and Unser because a truck was sitting in the middle of the road.

Jose Garcia was found sleeping across the front seat of the truck.

Garcia was woken up and arrested. Police say they also found burglary tools on him.
