Pedestrian dead in accident near Central and 86th

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police Department is investigating an accident that left one pedestrian dead.

It happened around 11 p.m. Friday night on Central and 86th street.

Police said a man was crossing in a non-designated crosswalk area when he was hit by the vehicle. He died on scene.

Officers said alcohol does not appear to be a factor.

That area was closed off for some time but has since reopened.
