Meet 5-year-old Vicente Rivera. He decided that he wanted to gather warm clothing for kids in homeless or domestic violence shelters.

His first step–putting a box at a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department Substation. Deputies were quick to help him, putting the word out on Facebook.

Vicente is looking for jackets, sweatshirts, and beanies. He hopes to gather at least 100 items.

If you’re interested in helping, just drop off items at the South Area Command on Isleta Boulevard.
