VETERAN’S DAY: A cold start to our morning with temperatures in the 20s, 30s and 40s under a mostly to partly clear sky. Afternoon temperatures will climb back into the 40s, 50s and 60s statewide – near to just below average for this time of year. Expect a mix of sun and clouds through late day with increased cloud cover expected for those within southern NM. A storm churning near the southern stateline will continue to push a bit of moisture into southern NM. There is the possibility of a few spot showers to develop in this area, however, coverage and intensity will be limited. A weak surface front pushing in from the northeast will kick up the east canyon winds in the Albuquerque-metro (15-25mph) but will do little in the way of bringing in significant moisture.
SATURDAY: A similar set-up to Friday with spot storms possible over southern NM and drier conditions expected north. Afternoon temperatures will once again top out near average in the 40s, 50s and 60s.
SUNDAY: A quiet day statewide with no significant rain chances and temperatures near seasonal average. Expect a sky full of sunshine and afternoon highs in the low 60s across the Rio Grande Valley.
