On The Stage: The New Mexico Young Actors Present ‘Pocahontas’

NM Young Actors

The New Mexico Young Actors will raise the curtain on the beloved musical ‘Pocahontas’, telling the story of an unlikely friendship formed between an Algonquin Chief’s daughter and an English Settler.

Paul Bower, director of the show and Tessa Cheshire, Pocahontas, joined New Mexico Living to invite people to their upcoming performance. Explaining the story, Paul talks about the importance of how two different groups of people come together despite their differences, saying, “It’s kind of a timely message”.

Performances at the KiMo begin Friday, November 19th and continue thru the 20th. Tickets are still available for their 2 p.m. matinee.
