Roswell man found shot to death in front of home

ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) – Police in Roswell are seeking a person of interest in connection with a man who was found shot to death on his front steps.

Authorities said Wednesday they want to question 35-year-old Cody Hairston in the fatal shooting of 56-year-old Ernest Ray Allen.

According to police, officers responded to a shooting around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Upon arrival, they found Allen unconscious and wounded.

He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
