The northern half of New Mexico will see plenty of sunshine this afternoon, while the southern tier of the state sees increasing clouds. A storm system will pass south of the state over the next couple of days, leading to that cloud cover and a small shot at spot showers for the southeast. The clouds mostly clear out for the weekend.
Another storm approaches New Mexico toward the middle of next week, this time from the north. However, most of the action will go through Colorado, leaving us with cloud cover and spotty valley rain and high mountain snow. Another storm beyond that may drop into the state, finally delivering a cold blast of air and widespread rain and snow. But that’s two weeks out so a lot can change between now and then.
