John’s Tuesday Afternoon Forecast

Sunny skies for Election Day...

forecast

For those of you heading out to the polls this afternoon, expect plenty of sunshine and a cool afternoon with breezy conditions from time to time. The middle and latter part of the workweek will remain quiet across the north. A storm system will slide south of New Mexico from the east and throw more cloud cover across the southern tier of the state. A few spot showers will be possible Wednesday and Thursday across mainly the southeast.

The storm clears out for the weekend, making way for mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures. Many areas that typically see a freeze by this time of the year may finally see that freeze early next week as the polar jet positioned well to the north finally buckles and drops colder air into the state.
