ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – With one day before polls open in New Mexico in one of the most talked about elections in some time, KRQE News 13 now has a better sense of where New Mexico is leaning in the final days.
The latest Albuquerque Journal poll shows Hillary Clinton with 45 percent support, five points ahead of Donald Trump. Gary Johnson is at 11 percent, down from 24 percent that he had in the Journal survey in September.
Clinton is still in the lead in spite of five campaign stops in New Mexico this year from Donald Trump and his running mate Mike Pence. Neither Clinton or running mate Tim Kaine have stopped in the state for a campaign event this year.
President Obama won New Mexico four years ago over Mitt Romney by double digits.
