Canine forecasters make weather predictions for upcoming snow season

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)– Some four legged forecasters made their winter predictions at Climate Canines Saturday afternoon.

The event held at Sport Systems near Montgomery and Lousiana benefited Animal Humane and featured puppies predicting which ski areas will have the best snow this year by retrieving treats from a chalk-drawn map.

The puppies say Aspen will get the good snow early in the season with New Mexico resorts catching up later in the season.

Those puppies had a little friendly competition at the event with News 13’s very own Chief Meteorologist Mark Ronchetti.
