Pockets of heavy rain will continue to fall across central and western New Mexico this afternoon. The heavy rain has been focused around Grants, Laguna, Socorro and T or C to start on Friday and eventually this band of heavy rain will push east into Albuquerque later today. Areas like T or C and parts of Catron County have already picked up more than an inch of rain. The rain will push through central and into eastern New Mexico tonight into Saturday morning. The best chance for showers on Saturday will be across central and eastern New Mexico to begin the weekend. By Sunday, drier air starts to punch in from the west. This will leave the chance for just some spot showers across extreme eastern New Mexico on Sunday. Temperatures then warm back up for next week with a drier and quieter week of weather ahead.
