ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – How the seats in the New Mexico legislature will fill up this election is the big question. KRQE News 13 Political Analysts Dick Knipfing and Gabe Sanchez talk about which seats in the State House they’ll be paying the most attention to.
“Really we’re looking at four or five seats here in Bernalillo County, and we’re looking at two or three in Doña Ana County,” said Knipfing. “We’re probably three House seats and one Senate seat down there in the southwest, there are a few other scattered around the state but the real battleground is really Bernalillo County and Doña Ana County.”
“That’s right, that’s where all the action is, that’s what we’ll be paying attention to on Election Day,” said Sanchez. “If people will be staying up on election night that’s what they’ll be paying attention to; what’s going to happen with the State House.”
