For Your Family: Recognizing Mental Illness

Margarita Chavez, Bernalillo County Behavioral Health Project Coordinator and Bernalillo County Sheriff Manny Gonzales, joined New Mexico Living to talk about the mental health first aid course being offered on Saturday, November 5, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’s an eight-hour course which teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance disorders.

Space is still available and registration can be done on-line on the Behavioral Health Initiative page.
