Man accused of prompting lockdown at Albuquerque school stays behind bars

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The man who caused a huge scene and forced an Albuquerque school into lockdown on Monday remains behind bars.

Police say 18-year-old Jeffery Lossing and a female accomplice carjacked a woman as she was checking her mail at an apartment complex.

Officers used the GPS tracking on the car and found Lossing and the woman near Central and Pennsylvania.

Lossing was arrested and officers found a stolen gun on him.

Police are still looking for the woman.

Lossing told police she was just an acquaintance and that she forced him to help her steal a car.

He’s facing several charges including armed robbery.
