Possible DWI related crash in northeast Albuquerque sends child to hospital

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)– A one-year-old is in critical condition after a crash in northeast Albuquerque and police say they believe alcohol was a factor.

It happened at the intersection of Eubank and Spain at around 6:30 Saturday evening.

A man and woman were driving in a truck holding their baby in their arms. Police say that’s when the truck t-boned another car, causing a five car pileup.

The father was ejected from the truck and the mother was trapped inside, but when police came to help her, she was resistant.

Police say the mother, father, and driver in the car that was t-boned were all transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
