ALBUQUERQUE,N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque classroom had a special, royal reader for story time on Wednesday.

“Now do you know why it’s important to be yourself? Can I tell you why it’s important to be yourself?” said Chief Gordon Eden to the class.

Albuquerque Police Chief Gordon Eden read the book “Will You Be My Friend” by Peter Brown to first graders at Annunciation Catholic School.

The book emphasizes the importance of being yourself.

Chief Eden also answered questions from students about being a police officer and found out what they want to be when they grow up.
