New Mexico State Parks host variety of fun events

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – The fall is finally here and that means fun events around the state for families to enjoy.

New Mexico State Parks have a variety of events going on to close out the month of October.

Huey Helicopter, a 52-year-old helicopter form Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Parks is being restored by Aersale in Roswell. The unveiling will take place in Angel Fire on November 11th.

Heron Lake State Park is hosting their Haunted Hayride for Halloween. This will take place on Saturday, October 29th.

Also, Oasis State Park is hosting a Children’s Fishing Clinic. Kids ages six to 17 have the opportunity to learn all about the various fishing techniques, water safety, fish biology and will learn the difference between a trout and a catfish by rotating through nine learning stations.
