ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)- Bob Davie and his Lobos are 9-3 in their last 12 home games but, that hasn’t lead to a packed house.
In fact, attendance is going the other way. The Lobos had an announced attendance of 18,099 in their last home game, a 52-17 blowout of Louisiana Monroe. That is slightly under the 19,566 average of the 2016 season.
Last season was even better. The Lobos averaged 23,528 fans in 2015.
When asked about fan support, Head Coach Bob Davie said, “You know I understand what the economy maybe is. I understand we played a late game at 7 o’clock at night. UL Monroe is not a household name so again man coach your team right.”
The Lobos are 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the Mountain West. The resume conference play at Hawaii Saturday.
