I-40 westbound near Atrisco Vista reopens after crash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Traffic began moving again on I-40 westbound near Atrisco Vista Blvd at Nine Mile Hill, after an accident involving two semi trucks closed the road Tuesday morning.

The accident was reported about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. After the accident westbound I-40 was closed completely, but the interstate has since reopened.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department says two semi trucks were involved in the accident. BCSD also says that one person was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
