Expect increasing clouds this afternoon as a weak weather disturbance pushes toward New Mexico. A few spotty showers will be possible across western and central New Mexico tonight as the disturbance passes north and west of the state. A few of those showers could linger across the north through early Tuesday, but drier air will quickly work in by the afternoon shutting down rain chances for most.
Another ridge of high pressure will build into the southwestern U.S. for Wednesday and the rest of the week. This will keep our weather dry with temperatures well above average. In fact, we’re on track to end October warmer than we typically begin the month.
