ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE)– Halloween snacking is right around the corner, but there are ways to keep on a healthy track at home, during celebrations and at the door.
Fitness Expert, Kristin Rowe, joined KRQE’s This Morning team discuss the ways to resist candy snacking and demonstrate how to make “Healthy Monster Mouths.” Watch above.
When at home, Rowe, suggests drinking a lot of water to keep the temptation of snacking on candy.
Making healthy treats, such as Rowe’s “Monster Mouths” can also be a great alternative for sugary sweets. All that is needed is three ingredients: apples, jiff whips, yogurt covered raisins. Rowe also suggests getting your training in early.
For those planning on going to a party, try to get healthy alternative in prior to arriving to the celebration and limit alcohol intake.
When handing out treats that are healthy alternatives too, such as raisins, pretzels and fruit.
