Walk to support the fight against Breast Cancer

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – It’s a non-competitive walk for families, teams and organizations come together to support an important cause.

Making Strides Against Cancer helps to celebrate survivors all while raising money to support the American Cancer Society.

Last year, the walk raised over $300,000 from more than 15,000 participants.

The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer’s Community Manager, Jessica Duncan, joined KRQE This Morning’s team to discuss the walk along with a new campaign for the organization. Watch above.

In addition to wearing pink, the American Cancer Society has also launched the “Real Men Wear Pink” campaign. Eighteen local men are helping to raise funds and save lives. To date, the “Real Men” has raised more than $15,000.

The Making Strides Walk will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at the Cottonwood Mall. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 8:30 a.m.
