Twin brothers held on bond for murder in drive-by shooting

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The two twin boys arrested in the drive-by shooting death of a young girl are being held on a $100,000 bond.

According to a criminal complaint, the now 16-year-old’s Carlos and Cisco Alires were driving with another man when they started shooting at a home on Atrisco near Arenal.

Investigators say they planned to rob another teen at the home but when that failed, they decided to do a drive-by shooting.

One of the bullets hit 18-year-old Aliyah Garcia in the stomach while she was sitting in a car in front of the home. She died at the hospital.

The teens are charged with an open count of murder among other charges.
