Farmington Police searching for leads in murder cold case

FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – More than 12 years after 45-year-old Brenda Wright’s death, Farmington detectives are still looking for leads in her murder case.

Wright was last seen on May 13th, 2004 when her daughter dropped her off at the Golden Corral. Two days later her naked body was found under a tree on a county road in Flora Vista.

Her family hopes someone will finally come forward.

Police say Wright didn’t have a car and would sometimes accept rides from strangers. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
