Head out to the east mountains for a world-premiere who-dun-it, incorporating mystery, murder and a bit of the supernatural.
The East Mountain Center For Theater brings their production of ‘The Deadly Seance of Madame Puchenko’s’ to a close this weekend.
The show is the eleventh murder-mystery produced by the company in as many years. The company’s annual October performance incorporates different thematic elements… this year they explore the supernatural world of a seance – gone right!
Mixing a bit of humor with the on-stage puzzle keeps the audience engaged and entertained, according to Artistic Director/writer/actor Richard Atkins. It’s a tough job considering the subject is murder. Atkins says the tradition began all the way back with Edgar Allen Poe’s writings, including the ground-breaking story ‘The Murders in the Rue Morgue’.
‘The Deadly Seance of Madame Puchenko’s’ closes this Saturday. For more information and tickets, visit www.emct.org.
