A much cooler, more fall-like day is ahead for New Mexico. A cold front continues to move through New Mexico this afternoon and this front is the reason for the canyon winds this morning in Albuquerque. The easterly canyon winds will be coming to an end later on this afternoon. Temperatures will be seasonable or even cooler than normal today for the first time since October 9th. But, the cool down will not last long! An area of high pressure will begin to build over the region for the weekend. That means the warm temperatures will make a quick comeback. Shower chances will return to the state by Monday as moisture moves in from the south.
