El Rey Theater gears up for ghoulish bash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Local medical students have found a way to celebrate the spirit of Halloween all while giving back to a great cause.

University of New Mexico’s (UNM) medical students are throwing their 3rd Annual Halloween Party all to benefit the UNM Children’s Hospital.

The dance party will include costume contests, prizes and much more.

Event coordinators, Lauren Faber and Michael Wentzel, joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss the event. Watch above.

The event will be held at the El Rey Theater on Saturday, October 22 at 8 p.m.

This is an over 21 event with a $5 cover for college students or UNM employees and only $10 for non-students.

All proceeds will go to the UNM Children’s Hospital.
