ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)Toys for Tots and U.S. Marines announced their annual motorcycle run to kick off the holiday season.

On Sunday morning, organizers say about 1,000 motorcycles will ride from Walmart on 528 near Enchanted Hills to Thunderbird Harley Davidson on Alameda.

At the event, Toys for Tots will be accepting donations of new, unopened toys.

“When you give a kid a toy, it tells somebody believes in him. It’s not just a toy to him,” said Paul Caputo, Toys for Tots Coordinator.

They’re asking people to avoid donating stuffed animals because of allergy concerns. If you don’t ride a motorcycle, you can still get in on the fun by stopping by Thunderbird after the ride. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
