TUESDAY: A quiet start to the day with morning temperatures in the 40s, 50s and 60s under a mostly clear sky. Expect an afternoon full of sunshine and temperatures topping out above seasonal average – most pushing 60s, 70s and 80s by late day. Winds will still be noticeable over the Northeast Plains but not quite as strong as what was felt Monday.
WEDNESDAY: All eyes will be on an incoming cold front making it’s way into the state over the northeast corner. High temperatures will come down across central and eastern NM with breezy conditions to follow. The problem with the front is it’s lack of moisture – no significant rain chances expected. Expect another day of mostly to partly sunny conditions.
THURSDAY: Likely to be the coolest day of the next seven! Cooler air filling in behind the mentioned cold front will keep temperatures in the 50s, 60s and 70s – Albuquerque likely to top out in the upper 60s (a good 15° cooler than what was felt earlier this week). A partly to mostly sunny sky will blanket the state with no meaningful rain expected.
