‘Breaking Bad’ star in Albuquerque for book signing

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Bryan Cranston was back in Albuquerque Tuesday on his book tour and he met up with some old friends.

Jonathan Banks, who played Mike on “Breaking Bad,” surprised his co-stars Cranston and Bob Odenkirk at the KiMo Theatre Tuesday night.

Cranston and Odenkirk were there featuring Cranston’s new book that follows his early life and career.

Along with talking about his book, he took questions from the sold out audience.

Cranston said she checked out the studios where they filmed “Breaking Bad” and planned on enjoying some real New Mexican food.

As for Banks, he snuck into the crowd after arriving to continue filming “Better Call Saul.”

A photo circulated online on Tuesday that had people wondering if “Walter White” made an appearance at Java Joe’s. That person was actually a tourist from England.

“I went to Java Joes, took a selfie and apparently someone saw me there took a photograph and they put it on Facebook and it’s been all over the Internet, wondering if it’s Bryan Cranston.. is he going around as Heisenberg,” explained Lee Nichols.

This is Nichols’ first visit to Albuquerque. He says once he heard about the book signing he knew he needed to stay for it.
