SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Authorities in Santa Fe have made a third wrong-way driving arrest on I-25 in just a month.

The New Mexican reports, Santa Fe deputies nabbed Clinton Grant Saturday night after he exited the highway on Old Pecos Trail. Deputies say his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit.

Clinton is now out of jail on a $2,500 bond.

In addition to DWI and reckless driving, Clinton is also facing child abuse charges since his 17-year-old son was in the car.

Just last week another driver was arrested for going the wrong way.

Just weeks before that, Clara Avina drove the wrong way and hit 23-year-old Anton Gress. Both Avina and Gress were killed.

Police say Avina was drunk. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
