Motorcycle Run kicks off Toys For Tots event

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –  It’s the 11th year one organization has been collecting Christmas gifts for less fortunate children in the community.

The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots program plays an active role in helping with the development of the nation’s most valuable resource, its children.

Event Coordinators, Paul Caputo and 1st Sergeant John Finney, joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss the program and an upcoming motorcycle run fundraiser. Watch above.

Sunday, October 23 kicks off the Toys For Tots season with the annual Motorcycle Run. Kickstands will go up at the Wal-Mart on 528. Those who wish to ride can sign in at 9 a.m. and bring a toy or $20 to participate. For those who wish to donate, no stuffed animals because of allergies and please do not wrap the gifts.

The run will end at Thunderbird Harley Davidson on Alameda.

This is a family event and non-riders are welcome to enjoy the After Party at Thunderbird.
