John’s Monday Afternoon Forecast

Another warm day...

It’s going to be another nice sunny day across New Mexico! The above average warmth will continue. In fact a few areas will be near record highs with Albuquerque in the low 80s this afternoon. Portions of the south and east will soar into the low 90s. Winds will be kicking up, especially across northern New Mexico.

The temperatures and winds start to come down Tuesday, but it’s not until a back door cold front rolls through Wednesday into Thursday that it will start to feel more like fall. Afternoon highs will drop to below average by Thursday. The cool down is short lived as temperatures quickly rebound to just above average for the weekend. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
