ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)The man accused of causing a wreck that sent a Bernalillo County Deputy to the hospital saw a judge Sunday.

Patrick Candelaria was pulled over after deputies say he was driving in reverse into oncoming traffic near Central and Atrisco.

According to a criminal complaint he fled into a nearby parking lot where he tried to carjack a woman driving with her six year old. She accelerated to get Candelaria to let go, hitting a deputy in the process.

That deputy was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
