ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)- The UNM women’s volleyball program’s longest losing streak since 2003 was snapped on Sunday night against the NMSU Aggies. The Lobos would battle back from a loss in set 1 and a battle to win set 2 for their 11th victory of the season.
The Lobos lost the first set but came back and won 3 in a row for the win. Senior Cassie House added to her growing number of kills with a game high of 16 against the Aggies. Julia Warren also added 10 kills and 6 digs in route the victory.
This win also snapped an 11 match winning streak for New Mexico State. The Lobos are now 11-11 overall on the year. They hope to better their 1-7 conference record on Thursday at Boise State that match starts at 5 pm.
