Chris’ Sunday Night Forecast

The unusually warm weather, wind and fire danger will continue into Monday.   Dry, near record warmth and strong wind will elevate the Fire Danger from the Northeast into the Eastern Central Plains this afternoon.   Red Flag Warnings are up for these areas so that means you do not want to do any outdoor burning.

Record highs will once again be challenged across the state including Albuquerque once again.  Highs in central New Mexico will be in the 80s while southern New Mexico will be feeling the 90s.

By the middle of the week, temperatures will take a tumble as a cold front moves in to the eastern half of the state.   That will send temperatures tumbling 20°-30° cooler by week’s end compared to where they have been this weekend! provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
