Dash on the Ditch
Join La Vida Felicidad for it’s biggest event of the year with the 5k, 10k or 1 Mile Family Walk. There will be free games, giveaways, rock climbing wall, food vendors, arts & craft vendors. The Fall Festival is a free community event at Los Lunas Heritage Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
ABQ Uptown Growers’ Market
The Saturday market is located in the Northeast corner of ABQ Uptown parking lot. The Growers’ market is your source for locally grown produce and locally made crafts from 7 a.m. to noon.
Los Ranchos Growers Market & Arts and Crafts Fair
The Market is open from 7 a.m. to noon. Arts and crafters feature creative and unique gifts.
Santa Fe Society of Artists Outdoor Fine Art Show
The Santa Fe Society of Artists Fine Art Show is located at 122 W Palace Avenue, just west of the Historic Santa Fe Plaza in the First National Bank Parking Lot. Meet Santa Fe’s premier local artists and enjoy their exceptional and diverse talents from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Downtown Albuquerque Walking Tours
The Albuquerque Historical Society has worked with Historic Albuquerque Inc. (HAI) to develop a walking tour of downtown Central Ave and train volunteers to provide free tours every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Jemez Mountain Trail Sale
The longest yard sale in New Mexico – the 13th annual Jemez Mountain Trail Sale on Oct. 15 and 16 – will give bargain shoppers and sellers alike a chance to buy and sell new and used items with a complimentary view of fall colors along the Jemez Mountain Trail Scenic Byway drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pet Adoptions at Satellite Coffee
The Lucky Paws Van on the Move is headed to Satellite Coffee on Alameda! Come by on Saturday, October 15th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to meet the sweet pets looking for their forever home.
Wee Bee Pickin’ Pumpkin Patch
Wee Bee Pickin’ is a pick-your-own pumpkin patch located in Moriarty, NM. They’re open every weekend in October, with no admission fees from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
FREE Pit Bull Training
Each Saturday in October Animal Welfare will have Free Pit Bull training. There is two classes each day from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. ad from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Disney’s The Lion King
Experience the stunning visual artistry, the unforgettable music, and the exhilarating choreography of this musical theater phenomenon – one of the most awe-inspiring productions ever brought to life on stage at 2 p.m. and at 8 p.m. at Popejoy Hall.
HONK! the Musical
HONK! the Musical is presented by the award-winning, local children’s theater organization The Growing Stage at ABQStages. The production is a family friendly, musical retelling of The Ugly Duckling at the African American Performing Arts Center at 2 p.m. and at 5 p.m.
Remember My Name Day
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the Roswell Refuge for Battered Adults invites the public to join in the Remember My Name event on Saturday, October 15, at Pioneer Plaza (directly across from the Court House) on Main St., from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
7th Annual New Mexico Dulcimer Festival
Event features 46 workshops focusing on mountain and hammered dulcimers, held at the Asbury United Methodist Church from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Live at the Andaluz; Hillary Smith and Chris Dracup
Live the Andaluz Life at Hotel Andaluz from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. with an evening of live entertainment featuring Hillary Smith and Chris Dracup.
Little Shop of Horrors at ALT!
“Little Shop of Horrors” opens October 7 and runs through October 30. Saturday’s performance will be at Albuquerque Little Theatre, 224 San Pasquale SW at 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The Best Man
The Adobe is thrilled that Joe Feldman, after a long hiatus from the stage in order to write plays for young actors, is returning to the Albuquerque theater community, to direct this multi-award-winning play from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
