RENO, Nev. (KRQE) – A trio of wind-whipped wildfires are burning near Lake Tahoe in Nevada.
So far, the blaze has destroyed 22 homes forcing hundreds of evacuations and closing a major highway in the area.
Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval declared a State of Emergency Friday.
No serious injuries have been reported, but four firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation.
As many as 1,000 crew members are expected to battle the fire Saturday.
