Chris’ Saturday Evening Forecast

The record warm weekend for New Mexico will continue into Sunday.   But, wind and the fire danger will be on the rise across the Northeast on Sunday.   That is where winds could gust to 40 mph with some higher gusts up to 60 mph possible.   The wind, warmer than normal temperatures and dry conditions will act to elevate the Fire Danger on Sunday afternoon into the evening.   Red Flag Warnings are up for Sunday afternoon so that means you do not want to do any outdoor burning.  Many areas including Albuquerque and Roswell will come close to their record high temperatures.  Afternoon highs provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
