ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The mother who got into a drunken crash on I-40 sending her baby flying out the window onto the interstate before taking off has pled guilty.
Police tracked down Georgette Vigil back in February at her house a few miles from I-40 and Wyoming. She admitted to downing at least a pint of vodka before getting in her SUV with her baby girl.
She crashed into a barrier on I-40, the baby flew out onto the shoulder in her car seat. Vigil insisted she didn’t know the girl was missing until she got home.
This morning Vigil pled guilty to child abuse, leaving the scene of an accident and aggravated DWI.
She blew a .31 — that’s drunk times four.
She faces up to five years in prison.
