Local outreach center cleans up after mentally ill man on roof causes damages

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – KRQE News 13 got a look at the damage caused by a man Wednesday when he climbed on the roof of a business and went berserk.

There was a scene on Central near Wyoming Wednesday when police say 31-year-old Joseph Grubb who also goes by the name “Superman Amir” climbed on top of God’s Warehouse, a community outreach center.

They say he ripped items off the rooftop, including lumber, air conditioner parts, and electrical wires. Central had to be shutdown.

Now God’s Warehouse is having to cleanup after him.

“We’re trying to regroup and get it together and figure out how we’re going to continue showing love here, but its’ a big hurt. I’m hurt,” said Pastor Chuck Aragon, God’s Warehouse.

The swat team eventually got Grubb down without anyone getting hurt.

Police say they’ve had several run-in’s with Grubb who suffers from a mental illness.
