Local and international photographers join for big exhibit

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – A collaboration between a local art gallery and photographers is preparing for an exhibition highlighting works that interpret personal perspectives of photographers.

Edition One Gallery and the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) have teamed up to bring the community “Transitions.” Twenty-five local, national and international photographers will come together to show the spectrum of intensely personal to global and universal works, from immigration of people to new countries to the cyclical change of seasons.

Edition One Gallery Founder, Pilar Law, and ASMP President, Gabriella Marks, joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss the exhibition. Watch above.

ASMP advocates the highest standards of professional photographers while offering programs, seminars and timely news, among other aspects.

The opening reception begins Friday, October 14 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and will run through Friday, November 18.
