“Feed me, Seymour… FEED ME”!!!
It isn’t exactly Shakespeare, but the phrase may be just as familiar in musical theater circles as “to be or not to be”…
“Little Shop of Horrors” takes the stage at the Albuquerque Little Theater, just in time for Halloween.
The darkly beloved musical follows mild-mannered floral assistant Seymour Krelborn as he pines for the love of co-worker Audrey, while satiating the carnivorous, Venus Fly Trap from another world, Audrey II.
In addition to the camp and catchy score, “Little Shop” is famous for its spectacular puppetry which brings Audrey II to life – from an infant plant, to over seven-foot-tall man-eating monster.
‘Little Shop..’ runs now through October 30th, with a special matinee performance featuring ASL interpretation Saturday, October 15th.
