Children at Presbyterian Hospital celebrate Halloween

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Halloween came early for some young patients at Presbyterian Hospital.

Sick children and their families were able to get their minds off illnesses for a little while to enjoy some Halloween fun, including arts and crafts and of course candy. It’s part of the annual Spirit Halloween Party at the downtown hospital, hosted by Spirit Halloween store.

“Just to see the resilience of these children, who are struggling with different conditions and come out and you just see how positive they are. You can really learn a lot from that,” said Chris Scott, of Spirit Halloween.

The store also raises money for Presbyterian’s Child Life program through customer donations.

Last year they raised $90,000. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
