Albuquerque airman gets warm welcome at airport

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque airman got quite the homecoming Thursday.

Maj. Jeff Brach arrived at the Albuquerque Sunport Tuesday afternoon after serving six months in Afghanistan. Brach has been with the Air Force for nearly 20 years, with retirement coming up soon.

Tuesday he came home to a large crowd of friends and family.

“I wasn’t expecting this much…wasn’t even expecting the camera. Very happy to be home,” said Maj. Brach.

Brach says he’s looking forward to getting a green chile cheeseburger. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
