ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A woman who has dedicated her life to teaching kids has her own spot on the Albuquerque Wall of Fame.

Helen Fox started teaching at APS in the early 1980’s. In 1994 she started Albuquerque’s first Title 1 program, even personally venturing out into the community to recruit kids in need. Now her picture and story are on the city’s Wall of Fame, which is at the Alvarado Transportation Center in downtown Albuquerque.

Fox says she just loved helping kids.

“Those are wonderful, wonderful children who are extremely resilient and deserve every chance that we can make possible for them to have,” said Helen Fox, ABQ Wall of Fame inductee.

Fox is the fourth inductee of the wall of fame.
