Tuesday marks voter registration deadline, early voting begins

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexicans can start casting their votes for who they want to see as the nation’s next president.

Early voting was underway at 8 a.m. Tuesday, at the Clerk’s Annex, 1500 Lomas NW.

Tuesday is also the last day to register to vote for the 2016 General Election.

Registration forms are also available at any County Clerk’s Office, the Office of the Secretary of State, or any office offering public assistance.

By Tuesday afternoon, the Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office said more than 630 voters had cast their ballots.

Right now, the Annex is the only place to vote early in Bernalillo County. Expanded early voting locations open beginning October 22, 2016.
