TUESDAY: A mostly quiet day with sunshine and above average temperatures returning to the state. There is a slight chance of a few spot showers developing in and around the northern stateline, however, coverage and intensity looks to very limited. Breezy to windy conditions are also possible – particularly for those in northern NM and southern CO. Afternoon temperatures will jump back into the 60s, 70s and 80s statewide.
WEDNESDAY: All eyes will be on an incoming cold front edging in over the Northeast Plains. Expect cooler temperatures and the possibility of a handful of showers to develop across the Eastern Plains as the front passes overhead. Western NM will stay quiet and warm.
THURSDAY: A cooler day on tap with afternoon highs down 5°-10° compared to how we started the week. Breezy east winds are expected Thursday morning as the mentioned front squeezes through central NM. Spot showers will again be possible over the Eastern Plains… but with little to no moisture to work with, coverage will be minimal.
