Help Explora decorate their Dia De Los Muertos float

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Science isn’t always the most popular subject, but there’s one museum trying to change that.

Explora, a museum described as part science center and part kids museum, joined KRQE’s This Morning team to demonstrate a fun “Cool Science” experiment.

This week, Explora is asking for the community’s help to decorate their Dia De Los Muertos Marigold Parade Float. Watch above.

Learn how to make Papel Picacdo, tissue Marigolds, and try your hand at painting Sugar Skulls. Activities take place Saturday, October 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, October 23,  from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Explora is also hosting a “Pop Science” event. Guests are invited to meet local scientists and learn more about what kind of science they do daily on Saturday, October 15 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Also, Explora is hosting a Teacher Workshop on Saturday, October 22 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Guests can learn about science fairs and beyond. Pre-registration is required by Tuesday, October 11.
